CYM Forum2017 - Abu Dhabi
On May 5th, 2017, Wisaal participated with its strategic partner Ithraa Consulting Group in the inaugural CYM Forum 2017, held at the Abu Dhabi University.
The CYM Forum’s aim is to help youth by providing scientific and practical knowledge about choosing the appropriate academic and career specialization for them. The CYM Forum targets youth between 18 and 24 years of age.
The CYM Forum consists of 6 main activities; firstly showcasing around 17 popular majors & how people gained success from them, some experts then highlight how they achieved great results from informal study, the forum then provides practical career guidance from experts, it shows how local people have gained success internationally, and the forum identifies careers which are not widely known as well as providing a voice to the private sector to talk about the skills needed for employment. All these topics are presented by local famous personalities in the field of vocational and career guidance, in very creative ways.
Since its inception in 2013 the CYM Forum has achieved some outstanding results. Here are a few notable examples; attendance has grown from 1,000 in 2013 to an estimated 43,000 in 2017. Hits from the Forum website exceed 4 million and its Social Media reach is over 100 million. The Forum gets mentioned in over 70 publications and more than 80% of participants were helped in deciding their vocational career. Notably the CYM Forum in Saudi Arabia won the Guinness World Record in 2016 for organizing the Biggest Forum and Event for the Youth in the World.
Wisaal’s General Manager, Ms Noha Alesayi pictured below met with the Her Excellency Dr Maitha Al Shamsi, Secretary of State in the Government of the United Arab Emirates, and advisor to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak; and the founder and CEO of Ithraa Consulting Group ,Ms. Noha Alyousif, and other participant team at the event hosted by Her Highness Sheikha Fatimak bint Mubarak at the University of Abu Dhabi to launch the CYM diagnostic tool into the UAE.
